Youngster completes Liverpool move

Liverpool have signed 18-year old French left-back Chris Mavinga from Paris St Germain.

Mavinga, who hasn’t ever made a full appearance for the PSG first-team, displayed impressive form for their youth side and drew Rafa Benitez’s attention.

A statement on the official website read: “Liverpool have completed the signing of French left-back Chris Mavinga from Paris St Germain.”

Arsenal were also interested in Mavinga, who can also play at centre-back, however, Liverpool moved quickly to secure the signing.

David Ngog was the last player to join Liverpool from PSG last summer.
