August 19, 2008

Liverpool Reserves lost 5-0 in a pre-season friendly against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Teenager Dani Pacheco missed an open goal after 11 minutes when he failed to hit the target.

Inverness took the lead when Mikel San Jose scored an own goal after a horrid back pass. Inverness led 2-0 at half-time. They also scored 3 more goals in the next 45 minutes to complete the thrashing.

Ablett told Liverpoolfc.tv: “We were very poor defensively and we gave some bad goals away.

“We actually started quite well in the first 20 minutes but we then stopped playing and made the wrong decisions and it was a very disappointing night.” he ended.
