Liverpool youngster Jay Spearing is keen to impress Rafa Benitez and be part of the Reds’ first-team next season.
Spearing, 20, has featured for the Reds in pre-season and now wants to take his performances to another level.
“I know this tour is my opportunity to show the boss what I’m capable of,” he said.
“Hopefully I’ve shown him enough up until now and I’ve got to keep it going.
“By giving me that new deal it shows he’s got faith in me and that means a lot.
“The aim for me now is more involvement in the first team. I’ve played in the Champions League but I want to get some league experience.
“It was such a great experience to come over here and play in a stadium like that with such an amazing atmosphere.
“From the moment we arrived the fans have been unbelievable.
“I’ve loved it and I thought we did okay against Thailand. Pre-season is all about fitness and we were happy with ourselves.
“We got the ball down and passed it well but credit to Thailand because they worked very hard.”
