Reds keeper to sign new contract

Reserves goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis is close to agreeing a five-year contract with Liverpool worth more than 10,000 pounds a week.

Bouzanis is a regular in the reserves side and has also impressed in the FA Youth Cup this season.

The 18-year old Australian came through the ranks at the New South Wales Institute of Sport before moving to Liverpool.

Although he grew up in Australia, Bouzanis is of Greek heritage and can represent either country.

He has played for Australia U-17 and U-23. He has also played for Greece U-19.

Bouzanis is one of the highly rated ‘keepers in the world with several European clubs after him.
