Liverpool have made a fresh work permit application for loaned-out Argentine winger Sebastian Leto.
The 22-year old was involved in a bust-up with Olympiakos manager Ernesto Valverde and is keen on a return to Liverpool.
The left-winger has featured in 4 games for Liverpool in pre-season and has impressed boss Rafael Benitez.
Leto was was refused a work permit to play in England last summer, much to the disappointment of Benitez.
The Spaniard said, at that time: “He has a long contract, and I think he can impress and next year will be a different situation.
“Hopefully in the future, if he’s playing in the Champions League, maybe someone will say, ‘Oh, we made a mistake’.
“At the end of the day, we are talking about the future of a player and I don’t think that is fair.” he added.

Whenever I’ve seen him play for us, he seems to lack belief in his ability and allied to the fact that he doesn’t have the pace to get away from the opposition, I think it’d be better all round if we were to sell him for around £5m to a club in Europe.
i see him every week play reguraly in Greece. After a bad start when he was replaced by Djordjevic at the starting 11 for a couple of games, played really well. Promising, but seems to have bad mentality, always problems with the Manager. Evem though lfc maybe a different story, bad mentality is an issue..
