Rafa praises skipper Gerrard

Reds manager Rafael Benitez has praised his skipper Steven Gerrard after he got his 100th goal for the club with a stunning free kick against PSV.

“100 goals is always a very good figure, but it is especially good for a midfielder,” Rafa told the official website.

“He is one of the best offensive midfielders in the world and hopefully he will go on to score many for us in the future.” he added.

Gerrard topped off goals from Dirk Kuyt and Robbie Keane to seal a 3-1 victory over PSV on Wednesday evening.
