Rafael Benitez is hoping that both Yossi Benayoun and Sami Hyypia will be fit to face Fulham at Craven Cottage at the weekend.
Benayoun limped out of Israel’s clash with Greece while Hyypia damaged his knee while playing for Finland.
“Sami has a problem with his knee. The feedback we have is that it isn’t serious but he won’t train for a couple of days,” Benitez said.
“I was talking with Sami yesterday and he was telling me he will be ready for the next game. He has already started working very hard to be fit again.
“Yossi has a problem with cramps in his calf and he is in contact with our doctor and physios.
“We will see how he is for the next game but he has to be careful. He will stay with Israel for their next match.”

rafa told u to stayed in anfield, to recover fully, but u refused…….. now u have injury……….
I don’t Rafa will be happy with the attitude of Yossi. First of all because he went and second because he doesn’t want to come back.
Yossi is a good player but he should listen to Rafa’s advice otherwise he has a chance to be sold this summer.
xx
should have made sure he was fit for the run in instead of going to an international game half fit
