Spanish sensation Dani Pacheco scored for Liverpool reserves as they ended their four-match losing streak with a 1-0 win over Wigan.
The Reds had lost their last four games against Sunderland, Manchester City (twice) and Everton.
It was turning out to be a frustrating night for the youngsters at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington before a second-half strike for Pacheco put the Reds ahead.
Hungarian Vincent Weijl crossed for Pacheco, who controlled and finished from close-range.
‘Keeper Dean Bouzanis made several stops to deny the Latics from equalising.
The game finished 1-0 to the Reds as they looked to be returning to their best.
