Javier Mascherano will remain at the Olympics with Argentina, whereas midfielder Lucas will only return to Liverpool next week, ahead of the Aston Villa game.

Lucas won the bronze medal with Brazil, although he didn’t feature due to suspension. Mascherano will play in the finals against Nigeria tomorrow evening.
