Liverpool back for Spanish winger

The Reds are set to sign Espanyol winger Albert Riera after a possible transfer of Gareth Barry failed.
Although Middlesbrough’s Stuart Downing is strongly linked, Riera has also been on Rafa Benitez’s radar.
Riera also said that he would relish a move to Anfield if they made a concrete offer. It does look like that offer will come after the Barry transfer saga is set to end.
Liverpool scouts tracked Riera last year and have been impressed. Rafa Benitez is also a keen admirer of the 26 year old who had a loan spell with Manchester City a few years back.
