‘Keeper joins Leicester on loan

August 4, 2008

Liverpool reserves goalkeeper David Martin has joined League One side Leicester City on a loan deal that will last six months.

Jack Hobbs earlier moved temporary Walkers Stadium and the 22-year-old ‘keeper will now follow suit.

“At my age, gaining first-team experience is of paramount importance and that’s why I have come to Leicester,” he said.

“I certainly want to make the most of my time here and hopefully Leicester will benefit from my arrival as well.”

Martin was loaned out to Accrington Stanley last year, where he played 10 matches for the club. Martin joined Liverpool in January 2006.
