Johnson assigned number 2 shirt

According to the official Liverpool website, new signing Glen Johnson has been assigned the number 2 shirt.
The website’s squad page has revealed Johnson will take the number 2 shirt.
The right-back wears the same number for the England national side.
Reds defender Andrea Dossena occupied the shirt before Johnson’s arrival however he doesn’t have a shirt number currently.
It is believed Dossena will leave Anfield within the next month, as interest from Italy strengthens.

i dont think dossena will leave now since aurelio is injured and worse arbe is gone therfore if dossena left that leave us with only insua at left back until christmas. what if insua gets injured?

as far as dossena being sold, we have great reserves.
Agger can deputize too, he’s quick, got great control, and a sweet left foot.
Carra can play anywhere across the back four.
Dossena played perfectly well against Brazil.Who knows he might play well for us this season.My untouchables are Gerrard,Torres(El nino),Alonso Carragher.Any other players can leave we can always find a better one. Aurelio is injured, but surely Insua or even an out-of-position Agger could do a better job than Dossena? He’s a top defender and he’s great coming forward. Screw Dossena, he’s not fit to lace Djimi Traore’s boots.
Dossena’s not fit to lace Djimi Traore’s boots. Give the task to Insua, or even Agger, if we get desperate. We know he can defend and come forward well.
