Fabregas wants Alonso at Arsenal

Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas wants Arsenal to sign Xabi Alonso from Liverpool, according to Sky.

The Arsenal midfielder is currently injured and has done a lot of talking on the sidelines, especially making his desire to play with Alonso public.

“I’d love it! What can I say? He is my friend and apart from that he is a great professional, a great passer of the ball.” he said.

“He works hard defensively, he’s scoring goals now, he’s experienced and he is only 26.

“For me he would be perfect.” he added.

Time will only tell whether Alonso will stay with the Merseyside club, after two brilliant performances against Standard Liege and Sunderland last week.
