Andrea Dossena’s move to Napoli has been confirmed after the defender completed a medical and agreed personal terms on a £4.4m deal.
The two clubs had agreed the deal last week but the transfer was delayed due to the weather preventing Dossena to fly to out of Merseyside in order to complete the switch.
“I’m happy to wear the jersey of Napoli,” Dossena told his new club’s official website.
“I chose a prestigious club with an important project. I cannot wait to play in Sao Paolo stadium before an unbelievable crowd”.
The 28 year old Italian joined Liverpool from Udinese last summer for £7m but failed to settle in the Premier League.
He has only made five appearances this season, two comin from the substitutes’ bench.
Dossena scored twice in 31 appearances for the Reds, against Real Madrid and Manchester United.

THANK GOD !
good ridenze
this is the best news that i could have got for a while. i’ll only read better news when rafa confirms that voronin will leave us
i dont know why rafa wasting so money for this kind of players, see 1st we bring this players @ a higher rates then we sell them with a much lower rate, does it make any sense? rafa has to be more cautious before bringing this kind of players.
@DieHard: i forgot from where this statistic i got, player move is always 50-50 for success or failure (can be worse). of course higher value player is more likely to success, but there is no 100% guarantee. And given 2m is lost here, it still has some good value. after all, who have thought when riise started to make mistake, eventually insua start to show his good sign
Voronin is also set to leave for some fee (we got him for free) n Maxi come for <2m fee (it is obviously a gamble), i may be bias, but rafa certainly play some good business here given the owners only care to pay back the debts. i may be wrong, but if other managers do this, the media or people are likely to say they do the right thing.
you will be remembered for scoring those two monster goals. Good Luck! YNWA
thanks for your service, thanks for your brilliant goals again RM and devils
