West Brom have won the race to sign out-of-favour Liverpool goalkeeper Scott Carson for a fee of £3.25million which will rise to £4million.
Stoke, Blackburn and Aston Villa were all interested in the keeper but the Baggies won the race.
Liverpool signed Brazilian keeper Diego Cavalieri last week, allowing Scott Carson to leave.
Stoke had agreed a £3.5million fee with the Liverpool earlier but after talks with Carson, they pulled out of the deal.
The international’s agent Colin Gordon confirmed the deal in an interview to Sky Sports, and it has also been announced on the official Liverpool website.
“The deal has been done,” Gordon told Sky Sports.
“Scott has signed a four-year deal with West Brom.
“They will pay £3.25million which will rise to £4million for Scott.” he added.
