Benitez praises two-goal hero Nemeth

Rafa Benitez has hailed Hungarian starlet Krisztián Németh after his two goals helped Liverpool beat Singapore 5-0.

Nemeth, who partnered Fernando Torres for the second half, scored a brace as Liverpool thrashed the national team of Singapore on Sunday.

“Nemeth is a great finisher. He has scored a lot of goals in the reserve team and today he showed why,” Benitez said.

Goals from Andriy Voronin, Albert Riera and Fernando Torres completed the rout for the Reds, who will now go back to Merseyside to prepare for the game against Espanyol.

Benitez continued: “It was a good game. We worked hard and played at a high tempo with a professional mentality.

“I think we are improving physically every single day.

“Some of the players returned late from international duty so it was important for them to play for 30 minutes.

“You can see that some of them are a little bit tired, but the mentality and attitude was good and it was a very good game.

“We can now rest a little bit, spend some time with our families and afterwards start to train again.”

   i just knew he gonna score. and i was right.

   i was kinda suprise when i read that some, well maybe majority of LFC supporters want David Villa to partner Torres when a capable,young,hungry and great player like Nemeth are already in the team. he can play in physical english game. i fear if we really sign Villa, then he will juz like Morientes, both strong physically but cannot adapt in Premiership.

   we got a gem here in Nemeth, give him regular football, then we shall c the next Dalglish..

   Nemeth is quality in a similar fashion to dare i say it, Robbie Fowler, He suffered from injuries last season but he is a top finisher and very confident. He has to prove in training that he can cope with the big boys, It’s sink or swim time!!!!!!

   Very good player, Hope he gets his chance this season. We have a lot of talented young player in this team, Hope a few more come through to the first team this year.

   The one to watch. Hopefully he’ll get 1st team EPL action this season. I agree with Jake Dassler. I personally would love Villa to come, but why ignore someone who’s already available and capable of the english game. Juz give him some regualr football, and who knows the next Robbie Fowler, both amazing finishers.
