Benitez calms fears over Riera injury

Rafael Benitez has calmed injury fears over winger Albert Riera after the Spaniard was stretchered off against FC Lyn.

The former Espanyol winger twisted his right ankle in the last ten minutes of the game against FC Lyn on Wednesday.

Riera was forced to be stretchered off the field however, Benitez said it was only a precaution.

“He twisted his ankle, but I don’t think it is serious,” Benitez said.

“We had to take him off, but it is always better to be careful with these things.”

   He can twist ankles, any chance he can Twist and Turn and get past a few defender, maybe put in a decent cross to one of our players
