Americans reveal plans for coming year
Liverpool’s American owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have drawn up an ambitious plan for the coming year.
Sources close to the club claim the American tycoons have put together a business plan to run Liverpool.
They hope Benitez can deliver the title within two years of the plan being enforced.
THE PLAN:
· Contract extensions for Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Jamie Carragher, Dirk Kuyt and Daniel Agger worth more than £120m over 4 years.
· A minimum of £20m summer transfer kitty every season for the rest of Benitez’s reign.
· Possible formation of a new, non-executive board to run Liverpool in the owners’ absence.
· Reds veteran Sami Hyypia joining the backroom staff as a defensive coach.
· A new deal for Benitez’s first-team coach Mauricio Pellegrino.

it’s too little indeed. Top player is now exceeding 25 million. With 20 million all we could possibly get are one B+ and two C+ players. The chance of success would heavily rely on Rafa’s tactics then.

Aaron Lennon is my top priority because his a player which would really suit our passing style and he has the speed we really need. I think £15 mil would seal it.

The club should take advantage of Valencia bankruptcy and took David Villa or David Silva. Besides, we’re on dire need of strikers, considering Torres’ injury proneness.
And we need strong anchor midfielder like Didi Hamann. Mascherano and Lucas are excellent Box-to-Box midfielder and Xabi has great vision, but we need a strong giant here.
I would sign Andrew Johnson, Miguel Veloso and Either Joaquin or Quaresma. Benzema would cost too much. Aguero would be a great signing but with the transfer funds available recruitment for other areas of the team would suffer

what about the future plan for alonso rafa? Dont forget that he is the engine behind all of this man. if i would there i would definitely seals off the deal for alonso(not for sale, with a contract extension to at least 3 yrs). please look after that matter, cause i think alonso is to some bit humiliated. he is as good as anyone could be. please rafa put an end of every talk against alonso in this summer before it kicked off. iin rafa we trust

Villa & David Silva (coz we can take advantage of Valencia’s bankruptcy)
Thierry Henry (Getting old but still has the majic & he has previously hinted a move to liverpool)
Adriano (big, powerful target man with a mean shot – what we need)
Joaquin (we could get him back to his best)
Quaresma (fallen out of favour at Inter and we’ll see how well he copes in the Premier League with chelsea – quality player tho)
Rafinha (i think arbeloa isnt liverpool standard and rafinha has a lot of potential not to mention his ability as a player now)
Ramos (i would spend £20m def on this player, arguably best rb in the world and would complete or defence)
Xavi (ambitious but worth a try, if we could get him we would have the best midfield in the world)
Van Der Vaart (we can play him left-mid and hes a world-class player)
Vicente (like Joaquin, we could bring him back to his best)
Youngsters to look out for:
Diogo
Kerlon
Keirisson
Banega
