Aguero: Torres injury is a shame

Atletico Madrid striker, Sergio Aguero believes it is a real shame to have former teammate Fernando Torres out injured for Liverpool’s visit of Atletico on Wednesday evening.

Torres will miss Wednesday’s clash with Atletico Madrid after suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty. However, Aguero believes that Liverpool will not be as dangerous without Torres.

“It’s a shame that Fernando Torres is injured and cannot play at the Calderon,” Aguero told reporters.

“He was one of ours and was loved here but from a football point of view it’s obviously great for us.

“A game against Liverpool in the Champions League is a real privilege and will not be easy.

“But we’re playing very well in Europe and hopefully we can continue that.”
